Working conditions

  • Writing specifications, instructions, technical documents and handling other required administrative duties;
  • Ensuring all space equipment and space products meet health and safety regulations;
  • Conducting scientific investigations and writing reports during various projects;
  • Engaging in the conceptualization, Design & Develop spacecraft components and assembly designs, using Siemens NX and Solidworks CAD software with a focus on manufacturability based on the field standards;
  • Provide support during the assembly and test process, ensuring that the machine is built properly and according to design specifications;
  • Identification, analysis and optimization of problems on mechanical design;
  • Produce sketches and technical drawings in accordance with the specified requirements;
  • Calculate factors like tolerance, dimensions, and conduct FEA analysis such as thermal, structural analysis.


  • A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineering or a related field. Master's degree preferred;
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in mechanical design and product development, directed in CAD/CAM and CAE engineering;
  • Strong design skills, preferably in design software such as Solidworks, AutoCAD, Catia, Siemens NX;
  • Advanced level blueprint understanding/reading;
  • Proficiency in additive manufacturing technologies;
  • Experience with simulation tools such as Ansys, Solidworks;
  • Excellent problem-solving, and communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment;
  • Mechanical design experience including design theory, physics fundamentals, principles, Materials science, and mechanical design standards;
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing (technical writing, presentation skills) – at least B2/Upper Intermediate or higher;
  • Knowledge about aerospace systems is preferable;
  • Proficient with MS office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio);
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills;
  • Excellent research and development skills;
  • Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills;
  • Able to make decisions based on evidence;
  • Ability to work in a team as well as independently;
  • No travel restrictions;
  •  Programming skills, with proficiency in languages such as Python, or C++;
  • Proficiency in mesh modeling techniques is highly desired in Fusion 360, Blender, 3Ds Max or equivalent programs;
  • Experience with manufacturing process development.
