Working conditions

  • Be a citizen of Azerbaijan;
  • Communicate closely with other disciplines to ensure all piping (Supplier and all other disciplines i.e., Process, instrument, Mechanical as well as safety) requirements are addressed in the design, lay-out, fabrication, construction sand commissioning;
  • Provide value adding knowledge to constructability reviews and take consideration of layout restrictions, ergonomics, safety, utilities, and maintainability;
  • Provide the checking to construction Job cards, Work packs and understanding of project close out requirements;
  • Generating, checking, and approving calculations against design codes and best practice;
  • Be the Piping subject master and are expected to be able to perform role of technical authority when delegated and experience in interacting with Client's TA when required;
  • Direct planning and progress reporting and maintaining project plan, recognising changes from Client SoR/Project Scope of work (change management) and highlighting impacts on cost/Schedule and plan;

Requirements

  • Estimating and CTR development, Client facing experience (Would be advantageous) and having negotiation and conflict resolution experience (technical deviation/queries);
  • Managing budgets, produce scope of work and setting project objectives. Creating and maintaining Piping MDR;
  • Creating and implementing cost controls (Including Man-hour control), Monitor and manage team performance and their productivity;
  • Managing, development and appraisal of the team/personnel, providing technical guidance and aid the development of colleagues;
  • Piping corrosion and erosion, Material standards, Material Mechanical testing and NDE and material certification is essential for the role;
  • Valve and piping components and relevant codes and standards (for manufacture and testing) is essential and to be demonstrable;
  • BSc or equivalent in relevant Engineering Discipline;
  • Chartered Engineer status preferred;
  • Experience of piping design code (ASME B31.3) is essential, Knowledge of pipeline design code (Like BSI PD8010) and wellhead (API 6A) would be preferrable;
  • Knowledge of Specific piping drawings requirements/presentation, Knowledge and understanding of 3D and 2D CAD, AutoCad & Plant 3D Software’s. Knowledge of Design application/CATS&SPEC;
  • Having offshore BOSIET, MIST and medical are preferred for the role with experience of site surveys for condition assessments, commissioning assistance or dimensional and utility interface reviews, be able to write survey scope of work and Survey reports;
  • Knowledge of Microsoft packages is essential.
