Working conditions

Ensure that all equipment, fixtures, and building infrastructure are properly maintained;
Schedule and oversee repairs, either by internal teams or external contractors;
Ensure timely preventive maintenance to avoid unexpected breakdowns;
Liaise with vendors and contractors for outsourced services (e.g., repairs);
Negotiate contracts and service-level agreements ;
Ensure work done by third parties meets quality standards and timelines;
Oversee facility support staff, such as maintenance workers, janitors etc;
Assign tasks, manage schedules, and ensure high performance within the team;
Provide training and professional development opportunities for staff;
Act as the point of contact for emergency situations (fire, flood, equipment breakdowns);
Coordinate responses to emergencies and manage evacuation procedures when necessary.

Bachelor’s Degree in facility management, business administration, engineering, or a related field;
Prior experience in facility management, maintenance, or a related field (3-5 years);
Experience in managing teams of maintenance technician;
Experience with vendor management and contract negotiations;
Knowledge of preventive maintenance, and compliance regulations;
Understanding of building systems such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and fire safety systems;
Ability to manage, motivate, and direct facility-related staff;
Excellent verbal and written communication skills for reporting, team coordination, and dealing with vendors or contractors;
Quick decision-making skills to handle facility issues or emergencies;
Ability to manage and allocate resources, track spending, and stay within budget;
Strong ability to plan, schedule, and coordinate multiple tasks and projects simultaneously;
Ensuring that all aspects of the facility are running efficiently, and up to standard;
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines effectively;
Must be able to work in varied conditions, such as indoor/outdoor environments, and be on call for emergency repairs or situations;
Ability to provide excellent service to both internal and external stakeholders, including responding to issues, resolving complaints, and ensuring satisfaction with the facility’s condition.
