Working conditions

  • Manage Purchase Order (PO) processing from suppliers, ensuring timely delivery and accurate documentation;
  • Oversee Sales Order (SO) processing, ensuring client orders are fulfilled efficiently;
  • Inbound shipment tracking per quarter – monitor what is bought, where it's going, and to whom, ensuring the buyer and supplier sides match up;
  • Ensure a full set of documents (BLs, MTCs, CI/PL) is received prior to vessel arrival, tracking physical documents as necessary;
  • Check supplier documents against orders, verifying product quantities, prices, payment terms, and specifications. Resolve discrepancies by coordinating with suppliers;
  • Assist with queries from management or the holding company regarding order reports, finance information, or report generation.
  • Onboard new buyers and suppliers, ensuring smooth integration into operations;
  • Handle invoicing, order tracking, and resolving any issues related to order discrepancies;
  • Support and engage with Almet Trading's international offices and across teams, resolving issues as requested;
  • Attend industry-related international conferences and events to represent all group businesses;
  • Deal with claims as they arise and control Corrective Actions data;
  • Adhere to ISO 9001:2015 and comply with the CARES scheme for the purchasing, supplying, and processing of steel reinforcement of concrete;

Requirements

  • Based in Azerbaijan: Candidate must travel to the UK office four times a year;
  • Experience in order processing, supply chain, or logistics, ideally within a trading or steel industry;
  • BSc in Business or similar qualifications;
  • Familiarity with NetSuite ERP systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office tools;
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills;
  • Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently;
  • Entrepreneurial approach to seeking out and developing opportunities.
