Requirements
- Selection of cabling and bulk materials for use in offshore / marine environments – to include cable glands, cable containment, transits and construction consumables;
- Technical review and acceptance of cabling and bulk material quotations;
- Site surveys (onshore and offshore) (preferably);
- Engagement with other engineering disciplines to resolve interfaces and in undertaking (Inter discipline Checks) IDC’s;
- Brownfield modification experience varied industries;
- The use (highly competent) of Autodesk design products including AutoCad, Plant 3D, Navisworks (Mandatory) and Bentley design products including Microstation (preferred);
- Preparing design drawings including Block Diagrams, SLD’s, Load Lists, Schematics, Inter-connection Diagrams and Bill of Materials (BOM’s);
- Understanding of Close-out activities and as-building procedures;
- Use of proprietary software packages for lighting and trace heating design calculations;
- Hazardous area equipment selection;
- Document management systems archiving and retrieval;
- Be a citizen of Azerbaijan;
- Responsible for ensuring designs meet project requirements;
- Work as part of a design team and produces engineering design deliverables; The Designer is responsible for ensuring that designs meet project requirements. This role is required to execute Electrical discipline design activities within budget and schedule;
- Carry out work in accordance with PD&MS and project Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality systems;
- Maintain the required technical quality of work;
- Identify scope and schedule changes in accordance with the MoC Process;
- Ensure that designs comply with the relevant procedures and regulations;
- Ensure, as far as practically possible, that all assigned work is carried out in compliance with agreed budget and schedule;
- Keep up to date with technical developments, National and International standards and legislative requirements related to discipline workscope;
- Encourage and provide lateral learning within the discipline;
- Provide technical assistance to staff as required;
- Assist the Lead Designer and others when requested in the execution of their responsibilities and duties;
- Perform offshore / onsite surveys as and when required;
- HNC/HND in relevant engineering discipline;
- Previous demonstrable experience in detailed design (Preferred);
- Knowledge and understanding of various relevant industry codes and standards;
- Understanding of all engineering disciplines;
- Proven highly competent in the use of Autodesk design products;
- Survival BOSIET/FOET with CA-EBS with MIST (Preferred).
