Working conditions
- Support in analyzing SOCAR’s corporate portfolio of companies and identification of any gaps to achieve the target and long-term strategy of SOCAR;
- Support determination of the desired target (optimal) corporate portfolio of companies within SOCAR group based on strategic fit, economic indicators, risks and opportunities;
- Assist in the analysis of cross-segment (upstream, downstream, midstream, etc.) portfolio options in order to ensure the realization of target corporate portfolio in a changing environment;
- Support in providing recommendations to different stakeholders on future steps of SOCAR’s corporate portfolio;
- Assist in developing portfolio matrix tailored to each portfolio segment, considering their unique objectives, risk profiles, and constraints;
- Support in developing the list of portfolio actions and specific to each segment based on the defined strategy and objectives;
- Support in monitoring of portfolio actions at segment portfolio level;
- Support in providing portfolio recommendations on non-organic development opportunities.
Requirements
- Bachelor or Master's (will be preferred) degree in oil and gas, business administration, finance or economics;
- 1-3 years of experience in finance, portfolio, business performance management, strategy or a related field (at least 1 year of experience in the oil and gas sector is desirable);
- Basic understanding of oil and gas industry trends and economic conditions;
- Computer skills (MS Office);
- Excellent written, oral communication and presentation skills;
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment;
- Fluency in Azerbaijani, English. Russian (basic spoken) is desirable;
- Financial modelling skills is an advantage;
- Working towards CFA, FMVA or related certifications is an advantage.
