Working conditions
- Maintain laboratory equipment and tools in clean, safe, and good conditions and preparing chemical solutions;
- Ensure the laboratory is well-stocked and resourced;
- Follow and ensuring strict safety procedures and safety checks;
- Assemble and prepare necessary laboratory materials before scheduled laboratory;
- Assist the laboratory instructor during the (entire) laboratory period;
- Put away laboratory materials after completion of laboratory;
- Assist in ordering yearly materials;
- Maintain a current and running inventory of all materials;
- Assist in training of new laboratory assistants;
- Be able to use the appropriate source for developing;
- Methods for disposal of all types of chemicals;
- Prepare and maintain accurate laboratory records;
- Maintain the store for teaching equipment and planning to enable efficient changeovers of experiments;
- Maintain up to date records of maintenance and testing of teaching equipment;
- Assist with the sourcing of materials, consumables, and equipment for the teaching areas;

Requirements
- Excellent level in English: applicants must be able to teach in English in their topic (physics);
- Bachelor’s degree as a minimum level of education with a high average grade and/or with distinctions in physics or chemistry;
- Knowledge of office automation software (Microsoft and LibreOffice suits) and any programmed specific to the subject of physics/chemistry;
- Flexibility in working hours (facilitation of teamwork, preparation of courses);
- Commitment to high quality teaching and creating a fully inclusive, positive learning environment according to French standards of education;
- Laboratory experience abroad in the field of academic research or physics industry is an advantage;
