Working conditions
- Lead the development and maintenance of HSE policies and procedures, staying informed on best practices and emerging trends;
- Promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility among employees;
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations;
- Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential hazards in agricultural operations;
- Develop control measures to mitigate risks and update emergency response plans;
- Design and deliver safety training programs to raise awareness of safety protocols;
- Oversee incident reporting and investigations, identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions;
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure safety compliance;
- Organize drills and training exercises to prepare for emergencies;
- Monitor environmental practices regarding waste management and sustainability;
- Maintain records of inspections, training, incidents, and audits;
- Identify opportunities for improving HSE performance;
- Facilitate communication and collaboration across departments to enhance HSE initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field is desirable;
- Minimum 5 years of experience in HSE roles, particularly within agribusiness or related industries would be beneficial, with a proven track record of implementing safety programs;
- Fluency in Azerbaijani; additional languages are a plus;
- In-depth understanding of local, national, and international health, safety, and environmental regulations;
- Experience with HSE software and tools for monitoring, reporting, and managing HSE metrics;
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
