Working conditions
- Teach chess fundamentals, strategies, and advanced techniques to students of various ages and skill levels, both in individual and group settings;
- Develop and deliver structured, engaging lessons tailored to the students' age, skill level, and learning objectives;
- Evaluate students' progress through regular assessments, feedback, and individual coaching sessions;
- Provide personalized coaching to students, guiding them in improving their game, solving complex problems, and refining strategies;
- Location: Sea Breeze (Transportation provided);
- Sessions: Once per week, 1 hour (4:00 - 5:00 pm).
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Mathematics, or a related field (preferred). Certification in chess teaching or a recognized coaching credential is a plus;
- Experience: Proven experience as a chess coach or teacher, with a track record of working with students of varying skill levels;
- Deep understanding of chess rules, strategies, and tactics;
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
- Ability to motivate and inspire students to pursue chess both academically and recreationally.
