Working conditions
- Assist in formulating the company's future direction and supporting tactical initiatives;
- Monitor and direct the implementation of strategic business plans;
- Develop financial and tax strategies;
- Manage the capital request and budgeting processes;
- Develop performance measures and monitoring systems that support the company's strategic direction;
- Participate in key decisions as a member of the executive management team;
- Maintain in-depth relations with all members of the management team;
- Oversee the financial operations of subsidiary companies and foreign operations;
- Manage any third parties to which accounting, or finance functions have been outsourced;
- Report financial results to the Director;
- Understand and reduce key elements of the company's risk profile;
- Monitor all open legal issues involving the company, and legal issues affecting the industry;
- Monitor cash balances and cash forecasts;
- Arrange for debt financing and equity financing;
- Maintain banking relationships;
- Assist the Finance Director in developing and implementing financial strategies, policies, and procedures to support the organization's financial objectives;
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial information by conducting regular audits and reconciliations;
- Collaborate with other departments to develop and monitor departmental budgets, and to ensure compliance with financial policies and regulations;
- Stay up to date with industry trends and changes in financial regulations, and advise senior management on potential impacts and opportunities;
- Provide leadership and guidance to finance team members, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
Requirements
- Degree in relevant disciplines BSc, as a minimum;
- Minimum 5 years relevant work experience as finance employee;
- Experience and knowledge within area of responsibility;
- Strong communication skills;
- Quality and detail focused;
- Ability to identify potential issues/problems and apply effective solutions as required;
