Working conditions

  • Spacecraft structure construction;
  • Installation of spacecraft units;
  • Spacecraft lifting and handling operations;
  • Adhesion operations as applicable;
  • Operation of MGSE (Mechanical Ground Support Equipment) as required;
  • Adherence to safety rules in testing and handling spacecraft assembly;
  • Implementation of protection against ESD (Electrostatic Discharge);
  • Compliance with quality requirements for spacecraft assembly;
  • Implementation of procedures for handling nonconformances (NCR);
  • If assigned, perform MLI (Multi-layer Insulation) manufacturing;
  • If assigned, install MLI on spacecraft and other units;
    If assigned, install heaters on spacecraft structures and units;
  • Kit checkout for AIT (Assembly, Integration, and Testing) operations;
  • Work in a cleanroom environment;
  • Collaboration with other team members to solve engineering problems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering;
  • Experience with reading drawings and technical instructions;
  • Experience with hand tool operation;
  • Experience with bolt fastening;
  • Experience with using adhesive materials;
  • Experience with crane operation and operating a man lift is advantageous;
  • Experience or training in the application and handling of thermal insulation materials is advantageous;
  • Knowledge of MLI materials and their properties is advantageous;
  • Familiarity with thermal systems and insulation requirements is advantageous;
  • Manual skills for precise cutting and bonding is advantageous;
  • Understanding of ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) protection and procedures;
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing (including technical writing and presentation skills) – B2/Upper Intermediate or higher.
    Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).
    Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
    Capable of making decisions based on evidence.
    Knowledge of aerospace systems is preferred.
